Myanmar (formerly BURMA), unique charm, rich cultural heritage, natural resources, smile faces, beautiful country which known as golden tourist destination. Myanmar is situated in South East Asia with the area of 676,577 sq km link through borders with China at north, Laos and Thailand at east, and India and Bangladesh at west.
Myanmar has natural environment of tropical forest, beautiful lakes, River, green paddy field, Shan mountains in the east, Snow-capped mountain in the north ,Kachin state , Hkakabo Razi at the northernmost tip of the country. It is the highest peak in the nation , 5,881 meters (19,295 feet),. And Mount Victoria / or NatmaTaung is the highest earthen mountain(3,053 meters/10,016 feet) situated in Chin Sate. Rakhine Yoma in the west and Tanintharyee Yamo In the far south.
The Irrawaddy (Ayeyarwady) River, which is 2,170 kilometers (1,350 miles) long, flowing a cross the country Rising from the far north to the south of Myanmar, then entering to the the sea through a nine-channel delta. The Second Longest River is the Chindwin River (960 kilometers/600 miles) flows into Ayeyarwady , Than Lwin is one of the free- flowing river rises in China and flows south across the Shan Plateau in eastern Myanmar. It’s covers 1,325 kilometers (823 miles) within Myanmar.
Indawgyi Lake, located in northern Myanmar is one of the biggest inland lakes in Southeast Asia and the largest in Myanmar.with an area of 116 square kilometers (45 square miles).It has been recognized as an important bird area and nominated for designation as a globally important wetland under the international Ramsar convention.
The second-largest inland lake is Inle Lake, which covers about 67 square kilometers (26 square miles) on the Shan Plateau above 900 meters sea level. It consist of one of the wetland area in Myanmar, It was listed as ASEAN cultural Heritage Park in 1995. And It was also specified as Biosphere Reserve in 2015 by UNESCO.
Thousand of Island along Myanmar coast including Myeik/ Mergui Archipelago, which is composed with over 800 beautiful islands. This islands and surrounding seas are alive with an amazing diversity of flora & fauna and very beautiful underwater scenes and marine life. The only human inhabitants in the area are sea gypsies, na mely Salon in Myanmar. They live on boats during dry season and remain on land during rainy season. They still practice the same fishing and boat building techniques used for generation.
The Republic of Myanmar has a population of over 60 million and It’s composed with 135 ethnic races the major races are Kachin, Kayar, Kayin, Chin , Mon, Myanmar, Rakhine & Shan. They have different culture and traditions But they respect each other and maintain their tradition until now. Eighty percent of the national population are Burma ,Christianity, Islam and Hinduism are also consist of among the minority, myanmar people are friendly, hospitable and ready to give helping hands to visitors.
